We launch World Cup betting for Stan James with viral game

Inbox Digital has created a stunning viral game for online betting giants Stan James to promote their World Cup odds.

www.vivalavolley.com

The game is inspired by the Brazilian team of the 1970 World Cup and is set in the Azteca Stadium in Mexico.

The aim of the game is simple: players have to score goals with spectacular volleys. Points are awarded not only for hitting the back of the net, but also for having the most finesse when shooting for the goal.

The client’s objective was to show football fans who are considering a World Cup bet that placing it with Stan James is the winning choice. And this Viva la Volley game should cut through the clutter of World Cup virals and give Stan James their share of voice.

The game has a global ranking list and a new league system, developed in-house at Inbox Digital, which enables any number of players to compete in the same league.

On top of that, by playing the game, you can win tickets to the England v Sweden game at the World Cup 2006. A live ticker tape on the game screen shows the latest odds for the fixtures, and players are given a free £25 bet to start them off.

Madeline Walker, Head of Marketing at Stan James says, "Following the huge success of our previous football viral, we set a large task for Inbox Digital, but they have risen to the challenge and we are delighted with the results. The 3D effects are stunning and the new league system will really help the game go viral. The game looks great, plays great and will definitely stand out from the crowd."

Oli Christie, Creative Director of Inbox Digital says, "After winning two viral awards last year, we are really excited to kick this year off with this beautiful game for Stan James. The 3D movement of the players is taking online Flash gaming to new levels and we have high hopes that this will be a truly successful viral game."
