Jelly Jumper (www.jellyjumper.com) launched the second phase of Logitech’s European digital customer relationship campaign, supporting its Cordless Desktops and Keyboards category. The game is available is eight languages.

 

The Logitech Cordless Desktop campaign was created by digital communications agency Inbox Digital - a member of Digital Marketing Group plc, the AIM listed digital direct marketing company.

 

 

Last year Inbox Digital was appointed by Logitech with the brief to develop a six-month European digital communications campaign that would drive awareness of Logitech’s Cordless Desktops and Keyboards category, identify and segment customer prospects and ultimately increase purchase interest and overall category value.

 

 

The agency created the Logitech Cordless Desktop campaign which includes a series of three viral games to be launched at key stages throughout the campaign. The games will drive registration to Logitech’s monthly newsletters and awareness for the category by pushing players through to the microsite, www.explorecordless.com to explore the latest Cordless Desktop and keyboard product range.

 

 

The first viral game ‘Ball Balancer’ (www.ballbalancer.com), which launched in December 2006, smashed Logitech’s targets notching up 900,000 unique users, averaging more than 2 game plays per unique user and generating 40,000 registrations.

 

Oli Christie, creative director at Inbox Digital said, ‘For the Jelly Jumper game we’ve incorporated the same stylish keyboard design concept and interface used in Ball Balancer with a cute jellyman figure. Light-hearted and fun, the game will appeal to all of the key Logitech audiences - from ‘enthusiast’ and ‘practical embracer’ to the ‘techie’ – further driving sign-up to its newsletters and purchase interest, whilst promoting its five key products - Logitech LX710 Laser, MX 3200, Alto, diNovo Edge and EasyCall.”

 

 

In the 50 level game, the player uses arrow keys to make a dinky green jellyman jump from key to key across a vectorised version of Logitech’s stylish diNovo Edge keyboard.

The challenge is to avoid the red keys and gaps and to collect all the green keys before progressing to the next level. Players can earn a perfect score by completing the level in a set number of jumps and can replay levels to try to improve their score. On reaching level 25 players can submit their name and email address for the chance to win a 20% off voucher to be used against any Logitech product bought at Logitech.com, whilst at the same time unlocking the remaining levels of the game. Players are also encouraged to sign up to the Logitech newsletter by supplying their name and email address, pass the game on to a friend and start a league.

 

From the game www.jellyjumper.com players are driven through to Logitech’s www.explorecordless.com microsite to learn about and explore the latest Logitech Cordless Desktop range. The game will be supported with coverage in Logitech’s monthly newsletter and on the Logitech homepage www.logitech.com, followed by a desktop alert to Logitech’s database of European users.
